What you’ll learn

Intro to training/warmup

purposeful reps, development over quick fixes, consistency, effort, and how you approach athletes differently based on their needs.

Teach athletes why taking 200 bad swings isn't necessarily better than 50 purposeful ones.

hitting drills and approach

pieces We look at when evaluating a hitter: setup, load, direction, rotation, barrel path, contact and finish. The message isn't “fix yourself”; it's understood what your coach is looking at.

Counts, zones, hunting pitches, two-strike approach and understanding what you're trying to accomplish instead of just “see ball, hit ball.”

Pitching arm care, developing Pitchers

Arm care, gradual intensity, mechanics/movement, intent, recovery and velocity.

Recovery, sleep, hydration, soreness versus pain, basic arm-care concepts, and why throwing every day isn't automatically better

BEing a total athlete, IQ, Mental and Strenght

baseball players need strength. Legs, core, rotational power, explosiveness and durability.

Effort, body language, coachability, preparation, being a teammate, handling failure and baseball ability.

Seth DOUGLAS- Owner, Director of Player DeveLOPMENT

Former Professional Baseball Player | 10+ Years Training Experience

Seth Douglas is the owner and original co-creator of 802 Baseball Lab and has spent more than a decade training baseball and softball athletes from the youth level through college.

A former collegiate All-American and professional baseball player, Seth finished his college career at SUNY Canton with a .377 batting average before playing professionally with the Alpine Cowboys and Ottawa Champions. His experience as both a position player and pitcher gives him a well-rounded approach to hitting, throwing, pitching, and overall player development.

Seth's coaching philosophy is simple: every athlete is different. Rather than trying to create one type of hitter or pitcher, he focuses on helping athletes understand their individual movements, develop their strengths, and train with purpose.
